At NH Race Engines we stand behind the quality of our race engines, crate engines, transmissions and power equipment. This policy explains your rights and our procedures in accordance with Dutch and EU consumer laws (EU Consumer Rights Directive). Return window period is 30days.

1. Returns for Change of Mind (Cooling-off Period)

You have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods.

Eligibility

  • Product must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
  • Customer pays return shipping costs

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-built or specially ordered race engines / transmissions
  • Performance engines built to your specifications
  • Installed, used, or dyno-tested products
  • Electrical components, fluids, gaskets, and consumables

Restocking Fee A 15% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns.

2. Defective, Damaged or Wrong Item

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect product:

  • Report within 14 days with photos and order number
  • We will cover return shipping (after approval)
  • Full refund (including original shipping) or free replacement

Important: Do not install the product if you suspect a defect.

3. Warranty Returns

All our engines and transmissions come with a manufacturer / workshop warranty. Standard periods:

  • Custom & Performance Engines: 12 months (limited)
  • Crate Engines: 12 months / 12,000 km
  • Transmissions & Gearboxes: 12 months
  • Power Equipment: Varies by brand (usually 12 months)

Warranty does not cover: improper installation, racing abuse (unless stated), modifications, or normal wear.

4. Return Process (Step-by-Step)

  1. Contact us first for Return Authorization (RMA)
  2. Package the item securely in original packaging
  3. Include order number and reason for return

5. Refunds

  • Processed within 14 days after we receive and inspect the item
  • Refund issued to original payment method
  • Original shipping costs refunded only for defective/wrong items
