The Generac 7042 is a permanently connected standby generator with automatic transfer switch (sold separately) that operates on your home’s existing natural gas (19.5kW) or LP Gas (22kW) supply. It monitors utility power 24/7, then starts and runs automatically upon detecting a power outage and continues to run until the utility restores power.

The generator regulates voltage to ± 1 percent while the controller maintains a constant 60 hertz frequency.
